Consensus Report

Each report is produced by a committee of experts selected by the Academy to address a particular statement of task and is subject to a rigorous, independent peer review; while the reports represent views of the committee, they also are endorsed by the Academy. This bilingual report addresses the technical, health, regulatory, and social aspects of ground water withdrawals, water use, and water quality in the Mexico City metropolitan area and recommends how to improve the balance of water supply, demand, and conservation. The Spanish language version ("El Suministro de Agua de la Ciudad de Mexico: Mejorando la Sustentabilidad") begins on page 108.
