In October 2006, the National Academies held a two-day Leadership Summit to explore how universities can
more successfully attract, retain, and prepare a diverse student population for careers at the intersections
of agriculture, environmental and life sciences. The discussions at the summit helped to inform the study
committee that authored
Transforming Agricultural Education for a Changing World (2009).
This website is an archive of the information and presentations from that summit.
