Climate variability and change and associated global change are inherently international issues - international cooperation and coordination are needed to improve understanding of climate variability and change and to inform decisions related to adaptation and mitigation of their effects. The National Research Council carries out a variety of studies, workshops, and meetings and publishes numerous reports on science-policy issues related to international research, observation, and assessment activities related to global climate change.
