Cancer Risk in Populations Near Nuclear Plants


The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has asked the National Academy of Sciences to carry out a new study on cancer risk for populations living near nuclear power facilities. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission discussed this request at the National Research Council’s Nuclear and Radiation Studies Board public meeting on April 26.
