The U.S. GLOBEC Final Symposium will celebrate these contributions, and underscore their unique and continuing importance. The wide spectrum of attendees at the Final Symposium – including Earth System Science professionals, Congressional staff, nongovernmental organizations, and the media – will ensure that the legacy of U.S. GLOBEC reaches the broadest possible audience. The U.S. GLOBEC Final Symposium, held at AAAS' facility in Washington, DC, will be comprised of plenary sessions and poster sessions, together celebrating the many legacies of U.S. GLOBEC. The two-day agenda will be devoted to plenary sessions offering "big picture," synthetic talks that summarizes how U.S. GLOBEC has contributed to our understanding about ocean ecosystems and resources in the context of global climate and environmental change.

Registration and Travel Logistics Information
• To register for this event, please visit the following website. A $40 registration fee will be collected (cash/check only) during on-site registration.
• Once you have officially registered, we will contact you with information regarding your airfare arrangements.
• Attendees will be required to book and pay for their hotel stays on their own. However, we are holding room blocks at government per diem rates at the following two hotels: State Plaza Hotel's website and Embassy Suites-Convention Center's website. To take advantage of these special rates, reservations must be made following the respective hotel websites by August 31.
