This pivotal meeting will bring together those in the international animal research community who participate in or are planning to conduct international collaborative studies in research or testing to further biomedical advances. Challenges to international research efforts include differences in regulations or guidelines for the use of animals, quality of training for those who work with animals, quality of veterinary care, and quality of the animals themselves. Participants will address these and other topics, such as outsourcing studies and issues specific to research with mice and nonhuman primates.
Preregistered participants will also have an opportunity to interact with members of the Committee to Update the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals during a question and answer session on September 26. Click here
